Weekly Objectives:
Writing: This week, we will continue our second writing unit, Adapting and Writing Fairy Tales. This week, students will be taking all that we have learned about adapting fairy tales and creating their very own, original fairy tale! We will focus on using descriptive language as well as revising the magic that is seen in their fairy tale.
Reading: This week we will continue our second unit: Character Studies. We will focus on comparing and contrasting the characters in our books, their problems, and the lessons they learn.
Math: This week we will begin Chapter 5: Understand Division. In this chapter we will learn the strategies for division and what division means. This chapter is similar to Ch. 4 that we just finished. We are NOT memorizing facts at this time. We are learning what multiplication and division mean, and the strategies we can use to help us when multiplying or dividing.
Have a great week!
