Hurricane Concord Has Hit

To introduce our PBL unit on hurricanes we started the morning like this:

After block, we were evacuated to the Hurricane Shelter Area, where the power was out!  How can we write today?  What can we use?  They had to write about how they would be feeling, what problems would there be during and after a hurricane, what problems will they face today trying to learn with no power...
